Williamsport, Pa. — A Susquehanna Township man was charged for allegedly growing marijuana plants in his home in the presence of a child.

Police arrested Dylan Andrew Day, 31, after they received a tip and searched his home. Trooper Gary Kunkle of PSP Montoursville said the mother of a child staying at the home contacted them regarding concerns for the child's safety.

The child had called the mother and told her the home smelled bad and it was making her sick, according to police. The child also told her mother she felt scared and did not feel safe.

The child sent the mother pictures of tents with what appeared to be plants. Police obtained a search warrant for the home and charged Day with felony manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver; misdemeanors of possession, and endangering the welfare of children.

District Judge William Solomon set bail at $50,000 and his case was waived for court.
