PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man faces a charge of murder after he was arrested for a stabbing in north Phoenix that happened last month.

Jason Fleming, 47, was arrested in relation to the stabbing death of 34-year-old Diego Razo-Cortes that happened on Sept. 14 at a gas station near 28th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, just west of I-17.

Since beginning their investigation, detectives collected several pieces of evidence, including surveillance footage, that identified Fleming as a possible suspect. A search for Fleming was unsuccessful.

On Oct. 15, Phoenix police officers responded to a trespassing call near 18th Avenue and Union Hills Road. During this call, Fleming was found and arrested.

Fleming was booked into jail for murder and other unrelated charges.
