Man dead, woman seriously injured after crash in Reston

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Fairfax County police said a man died and a woman was seriously injured after a crash in Reston on Sunday morning.

In a post on X just before 6:30 a.m., the Fairfax County Police Department said that officers were on the scene of a single-vehicle crash at North Shore Drive and Charter Oak Court.

Responders took the driver, a man, to the hospital, where he died.

A woman, who was also in the car at the time of the crash, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of Sunday afternoon, there is no word on her condition.
