Man from the Netherlands killed in UTV rollover crash in Minnesota

A UTV rollover crash in Otter Tail County Sunday killed one person and injured another.

Otter Tail County officers received reports of a UTV crash near Leaf Mountain Township South West of Urbank at 9:17 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the passenger, Jim Jan, 21, of the Netherlands, stuck underneath the UTV.

The crash report says that Jan was ejected from the side-by-side during the crash and that the vehicle landed on top of him. Officers attempted to remove the UTV from Jan before first responders arrived but could not.

Jan was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 43-year-old driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital due to his injuries. His current condition is unknown at this time.
