Man shot during Jacksonville robbery

A man was taken to the hospital after Jacksonville police said he was shot in the hand early Thursday in the 6000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. Police said the victim, who's in his 20s, was walking at a nearby apartment complex when he was approached by two men. Police said the two men robbed the victim and shot him in the hand. The victim went to a nearby gas station for help. Police believe there was some kind of relationship between the victim and the assailants.

Nearly 46 years after a double homicide, a fingerprint from a taxi license application has led to a suspect's arrest, officials in western Massachusetts announced Wednesday. The case began on Nov. 19, 1978, when police discovered Theresa Marcoux, 18, and Mark Harnish, 20, shot dead near Route 5 in West Springfield, Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni said. Harnish's Dodge pickup truck was found nearby with blood and a damaged window, he said.

It's shocking video of an elderly man being throw to the ground and handcuffed during a traffic stop. Video of the exchange between the officer and driver involved in the traffic sop was released by police. The Oklahoma City Police Department has since put the officer on administrative leave pending an internal investigation into what happened saying in a statement "there was a use of force." An arrest report gives more details about what occurred before a man was shot to death Wednesday in the 3200 block of West Edgewood Avenue. Investigators observed surveillance video that showed the victim driving an orange Chevrolet Camaro with orange rims at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and New Kings Road, according to the JSO arrest report for Lavertis Reed, 20, who was charged with murder in the shooting. As the victim's vehicle crossed the intersection, a white vehicle with dark rims was observed on the surveillance video driving south at a high rate of speed on New Kings Road, the arrest report states.

The Philippines said on Wednesday it would not stand in the way if former President Rodrigo Duterte wants to surrender to the International Criminal Court, and would be obliged to comply with any international arrest warrant over his "war on drugs". These police officers knew something was wrong before the 911 call came through. Officers from the London Ohio Police Division spotted a child walking alone. As they turned around to follow him, an emergency call came over the radio saying a 5-year-old boy with autism had gone missing. He was floating on his back in creek waters that were 3-feet deep when the officers found him. According to authorities, the boy was taken to a hospital for observation and released.
