More Week 5 wrap ...

. Just one L-L League QB had 1,000-plus passing yards in the first half of the regular season, and that's Garden Spot gunslinger A.J. Hurst, who is at 1,104 air yards — and on pace for a 2,000-yard regular season. ... There are four other QBs with 800-plus passing yards heading into Week 6, and they should/could go over 1K in the immediate future: Daniel Boone's Haydn Moyer (964 yards), Schuylkill Valley's Logan Nawrocki (946 yards), Hempfield's Derek Katch (906 yards) and Conestoga Valley's Sawyer Esbenshade (842 yards).

FUN FACT: Manheim Central's Katie White drilled a 28-yard field for the Barons vs. Conrad Weiser on Friday. She became the first female player in the L-L League to make a FG since ... 2017. And that season, two L-L League girls players booted field goals: Donegal's Emma Hudson knocked in a 26-yarder vs. Lancaster Catholic, and Northern Lebanon's Jenna Wentling — get this — hit four FGs, including a long of 24 yards vs. Daniel Boone.

. Six L-L League receivers had two or more TD catches in Friday's Week 5 games: Daniel Boone's Harrison Delissaint had three TD grabs; Penn Manor's Tristan Roman, Exeter's Jayden Ware, Garden Spot's Jace Conrad, Twin Valley's Joey Buckley and Kutztown's Colten Mathias all had two apiece. ... Conrad lit it up; he hauled in 10 catches for 118 yards with those two TD snags in Garden Spot's win over Fleetwood. It was the most receptions by an L-L League receiver in a game so far this season.

BONUS NUGGET: A quick glance at the standings reveals ... ties. A lot of ties. And don't forget: Muhlenberg and Governor Mifflin are set to clash on Sunday. ... Wilson (2-0) and Manheim Township (1-0) atop Section 1 (Bulldogs, Blue Streaks will collide in Week 10 in Neffsville) ... Conestoga Valley (2-0) and Exeter (2-0) in Section 2 (CV at Exeter in Week 9) ... Cocalico (2-0) and Conrad Weiser (2-0) in Section 3 (Weiser at Cocalico in Week 9) ... And — just like last year — a 3-way knot in Section 5 with Hamburg (2-0), Lancaster Catholic (2-0) and Schuylkill Valley (2-0) at the top. Hamburg at Lancaster Catholic coming up Friday; SV at Hamburg in the Frost Bowl in Week 8; and Catholic at SV in Week 10.

. Three long kickoff returns for touchdowns on Friday: Kutztown's Ryan Walters went 90 yards to the house vs. Hamburg; Garden Spot's Andrew Pemberton zoomed 86 yards for a score vs. Fleetwood; and Northern Lebanon's Brady Ryan took a kick back 85 yards for a TD vs. Donegal. ... It was Pemberton's second kick-return TD this season; he raced 94 yards for a KR TD vs. Notre Dame-Green Pond in that nutty 71-64 game back in Week 1. ... Ryan's brother, Brendan Ryan, returned a punt 75 yards for a TD in Northern Lebanon's 14-12 win over Donegal. A fun time in the Ryan household this weekend, no doubt.
