Margaret R. “Peggy” (Bertram) Bruzauskas, of Parlin, N.J., formerly of
Kingston, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison, N.J.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Jan. 13, 1942, a daughter of Henry Bertram
and the late Grace Henderson Bertram. She resided in Kingston and was a
graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1959 and Wilkes-Barre Business
College. She was employed at Globe Insurance Company prior to her marriage,
when she moved to New Jersey, living in Linden and later Parlin, where she
resided for 38 years. Mrs. Bruzauskas was an office manager for Health Care
Payers Coalition in Edison, N.J., where she had worked for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Bruzauskas, a son and
daughter-in-law, Joseph W. and Joanne Bruzauskas of Belford, N.J.; a daughter
and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Vuono of Parlin, N.J.; her father, Henry
Bertram of Old Forge; brother, Henry “Buddy” Bertram of Claremont; sister,
Betty Nan Sachs of Hanover, Pa.; and grandchildren, Nicole and Alec Vuono.
Visiting hours were 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at John F. Pfleger
Funeral Home Inc., 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. There will be a funeral
gathering at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home in Middletown, followed by a
funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Atlantic Highlands.
Burial will be at Bay View Cemetery in Leonardo.
Memorial donations may be made in Peggy’s name to St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, P.O. Box 8704, Memphis, TN 38173.
