argaret “Peggy” Pugh, 86, of Oplinger Towers, East Main Street,
Nanticoke, formerly of East Noble Street, Nanticoke, and Chester, died Friday
at Mercy Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke, where she was a patient for two
weeks.



Born Sept. 13, 1915 in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Daniel
R. and Jane (Sherwood) Davis. She attended the Nanticoke and Newport Township
public schools and was a 1936 graduate of Wyoming Seminary. She was a
bookkeeper at Consumers Credit Corp., Wilkes-Barre, before retiring in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and brother, Thomas.

Surviving are his nieces, Susan Bayer, Bethlehem; and Linda Taylor,
Vacaville, Calif.



A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover
Township, with the Rev. Timothy G. Hall officiating. There will be no calling
hours. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Congregational United Church
of Christ, c/o the Rev. Timothy G. Hall, 75 Prospect St., Nanticoke, 18634.
Arrangements are by the Davis Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St.,
Nanticoke.
