Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and Kate Hudson led the stars at the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday.

The transcendent trio modeled stunning, tight-fitting gowns as they made their grand arrivals on the red carpet at the L.A. Center Studios in Los Angeles .

Upon her arrival at the star-studded affair, Mariah Carey, 55, posed for stunning portraits as she showed off her glamorous look.

The songstress looked gorgeous as per usual in a cream-colored gown with a strapless, figure-hugging silhouette and black stripes running down the sides.

She styled her honey blonde tresses in voluminous, old Hollywood-inspired curls, which she swept to one side to frame her face.

She was bejeweled in a flashy diamond choker with a matching bracelet and dangling earrings.

For makeup, the Touch My Body hitmaker sported a sultry cat-eye with full, fluttering eyelashes and a glossy nude pout.

At the award ceremony, Carey will be performing hits off of The Emancipation of Mimi to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the multi-platinum album's release.

EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson, 43, will be honoring the 22-time AMA winner Whitney Houston .

The singer arrived alongside Patricia Houston, the late music legend's sister-in-law, close friend and her longtime manager.

Both of them coordinated in fabulous, all-black ensembles.

Hudson donned a strapless, latex gown layered over a sheer top bedazzled with shimmering jewels and featuring tight, latex opera gloves.

Her glamorous garb also featured a floor-sweeping train that trained behind her as she arrived on the red carpet.

For her special appearance, the actress slicked back her hair into a sleek ponytail and rocked a sultry, dark smoky eye makeup look.

Kate Hudson, 45, looked exquisite in a silvery, green moss-inspired halter dress as she walked the red carpet.

The chic dress featured a mermaid-tail silhouette, which highlighted her fit physique.

Teamed with the eye-catching garment, she slicked back her long, blonde tresses for a edgy, wet look and rocked a shimmering, sultry eye look.

For makeup, she also wore rosy and peachy blush with a glossy, nude pink lip.

She accessorized with twisted, braided bangle bracelets teamed with a matching hoop earrings and a mesmerizing ring lined with dazzling diamonds.

On the red carpet, she posed alongside Chaka Khan, 71.

The Queen of Funk donned a edgy-chic, monochromatic brown ensemble featuring metallic chaps with a sheer, lace top with a mock neckline and long sleeves.

She sported black leather boots and accessorized with a metal accent, circular belt as well as vintage statement rings.

The two-hour special, which will air live on CBS and be available to stream on Paramount+, will celebrate the AMAs marking half a century of groundbreaking music, iconic moments, unforgettable performances and rich pop culture history.

The award ceremony was created by legendary producer and visionary Dick Clark and first awarded in 1974.

For the 50th anniversary special, Hollywood heavyweights including Mariah Carey , Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Lopez are just a few of many stars taking the stage at the star-studded show.

Gladys Knight — who performed live at the very first AMAs in 1974 — will return for an encore performance of Midnight Train to Georgia.

Other special appearances include two-time AMA winner Brad Paisley with a performance honoring the late Charley Pride, who won the very first AMA for Country Male and Country Album.

Paisley will also be performing his brand new single live for the very first time.

The star-studded lineup also include performances from Chaka Khan, Sheila E., Green Day, Kane Brown and many more.

Nelly will be joined by Chingy, J-Kwon, and members of St. Lunatics for a hip-hop medley.

Nile Rodgers & CHIC will also be taking the stage, and RAYE will be performing a rendition of the James Brown classic It's A Man's Man's Man's World.

And K-pop superstars Stray Kids will be performing a medley honoring NSYNC* the legacy of boy bands.
