Marie C. Line, 94, of Mequon, Wis., died Wednesday in Bayside, Wis. Born
July 31, 1905, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late James and Susan
(Feist) Kearney. She was a member of the Telephone Reassurance Program with
Catholic Social Services in Wilkes-~Barre before her retirement in 1992. She
was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception in
Wilkes-Barre, Legion of Mary, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Lions Club Auxiliary
and Harveys Lake Yacht Club. She was preceded in death by her hu~sband, John
C. Line; sons, Robert K. and James D.; brothers, Raymond, George and William;
and sister, Rita Kearney. Surviving are her sons, John C., Jr., Warren, Mich.;
and George W., Mequon; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday from the
McLaughlin Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a
funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception
on South Washington Street. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Hanover
Township. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be
made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter, in
Wilkes-Barre.
