artha Gavlick, 80, of Second Street, Wyoming, died Monday at Wilkes-Barre
General Hospital.



Born April 16, 1921, in Kingston Township, she was a daughter of the late
John and Martha (Shishilla) Derzak. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church,
Wyoming, its Christian Mothers and the Ladies Auxiliary Hose Co. No. 2,
Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, Sr., and a sister,
Cecilia Radzwilka.

Surviving are her son, Bernard, Jr., Langhorne; daughter, Patricia Paul,
Lake Harmony; a grandson; brothers, John, Exeter Township; and Joseph, Beatty,
Nev.; sister, Florence Stupak, Owego, N.Y.; stepsisters, Dorothy Sleboda,
Wyoming; and Ruth Skorupsky, Wilmington, Vt.; nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday from the Bednarski Funeral
Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at
St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton,
Kingston Township. The viewing is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
