Mayor of Lubbock announces special recognition for Flatland Cavalry

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Buddy Holly Hall is proud to announce that the Mayor of Lubbock presented a special recognition to the acclaimed band Flatland Cavalry during their concert on November 7, 2024. The recognition was a surprise for the band and was presented on stage by the Mayor, highlighting the pride and success of Lubbock's own musical talents.

The Mayor's recognition celebrates Flatland Cavalry's contributions to the music industry and their representation of Lubbock's rich cultural heritage. The Mayor and the Lubbock City Council signed a formal special recognition certificate, which was presented to the band on stage at The Buddy Holly Hall. Flatland Cavalry spent the week in Lubbock leading up to their event. There is another performance tonight, November 8, and before the performance, guests are invited to join us for a pre-show party on the Bird's Tail Patio from 6 PM to 7 PM. Doors open at 7 PM.

The concert, held at the iconic The Buddy Holly Hall, was attended by fans, media representatives, and city officials. The evening began with an opening act, followed by the Mayor's presentation at 9:00 PM. The recognition was a highlight of the night, with the Mayor and the band taking a photo. The concert continued with Flatland Cavalry's electrifying performance, leaving the audience awestruck.
