McLean County Chamber of Commerce receives statewide award
SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives has selected the McLean County Chamber of Commerce for its annual Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award.
The award was presented during the IACCE's annual Celebration and Awards Dinner Thursday night in Springfield. The award is based on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's accreditation process for local chambers and highlights accomplishments related to leadership, governance, finance, advocacy and membership development, according to a news release.
"The McLean County Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of President & CEO Charlie Moore, IOM, CCE, impressed the judges with their programs and outreach," noted one of the judges. "The Chamber is addressing critical local economic challenges, focusing on workforce shortages and limited housing options."
"Our team deserves the credit for all the hard work they put in to earn the Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award and fulfill our core value of being a member-centric, community-minded Chamber," stated Tyler Cravens, chief operating officer of McLean County Chamber. "We couldn't do the work we do without our members and we thank them for continued support."
Earlier this year, the McLean County Chamber was reaccredited with the highest possible rating of five stars, which puts it among the top 3% of chambers nationally.
