McLean County HCE units to celebrate holiday season

McLean County Association for Home and Community Education groups will celebrate the holiday season in December with activities and meetings. The December Member Community Outreach for Home Sweet Home Ministries is men’s socks.

From Dec. 1-15, McLean County HCE community outreach programs will benefit from all purchases made at Crossroads Fair Trade Goods & Gifts Shop at 428 N. Main St., Bloomington, during the “Give Back Party.” Mention HCE when purchases are made online or in the store.

Other Holiday programs: Noon-4 p.m. Dec. 8, 307 S. Veterans Parkway, Normal, Fannie May Fundraiser, 309-824-0661. From 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 9 at St John’s Lutheran Church, 1617 E. Emerson St., Bloomington, HCE Holiday Party, beginning with a breakfast brunch. Make It-Take It projects and Holiday Bingo will be enjoyed by all. Dulcimer and Song by Brian and Maureen Barnes will entertain the group. RSVP and fee to 309-824-4797.

From 11 a.m-4 p.m. Dec. 9, HCE will have a holiday bake sale at the Old Rugged Barn Holiday Market, 18808 County Road, 2999 East, Towanda. Plan to support our scholarship and other outreach projects by purchasing delicious baked goods and enjoy a visit to this country venue.

The public is welcome at all meetings and programs. Individual units meet as follows:
