Measure to continue Marysville sales tax takes an early lead; Yuba City’s sales tax measure trailing
A funding measure in Yuba City was trailing by two points in the initial traunch of election results released Tuesday evening, while initial results showed Marysville voters supporting the continuance of a one cent sales tax measure by a 3-1 margin.
Tens of thousands of votes remain to be counted in each county.
School bond measures in Wheatland, Plumas Lake, and Sutter all trailed in the initial release of numbers.
Toni Cole took an early lead over John Buckland over John Buckland and Vincenzo Corazza for Yuba City District 5, while Aaron Pamma and Nancy Santana jumped out to early leads over three others in the race for Live Oak City Council.
In Marysville, Margie Rollins and incumbent Stuart Gilchrist were in the top two positions for two seats on the Marysville City Council race.
Republican Assembly member James Gallagher and Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa took early leads in their bids for re-election.
