Meredith Marks Undergoes Third Breast Reduction for 'Weird Issue' That Causes Continuous Growth

Meredith Marks has had her third (and hopefully last) breast reduction.

In an interview with Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast published on Friday, Sept. 13, ahead of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 premiere, Marks, 52, shared that she is dealing with a "weird" medical condition that causes her breasts to never stop growing.

"My breast tissue doesn't stop growing," the Bravo star said during the on-camera podcast interview.

Marks, who also discusses the issue during the first episode of the season, said that her costar Heather Gay 's "response was so funny" when she inquired as to how she could get the same "problem."

Though Marks admitted the comment from her costar gave her a good laugh, she soon got back on track with the topic at hand.

"It's wild," Marks said. "Seriously, I have this weird issue and I'm hoping this is [my final breast reduction]. I never wanted to be that big. I was always supposed to be a small C."

The television star couldn't give a definite answer as to why her breasts continue to grow, adding that the issue could be "hormonal."

When asked if there was a potential that she would get a fourth reduction if her breasts continued to grow, Marks replied: "Unless I want to look matronly."

"So yes, if I have to, I will," she said. "That's the thing, clothes are fitting better now. When you have to go up two sizes to accommodate your chest, nothing sits right. It's just not good."

One of the podcast hosts pointed out that having multiple surgeries for the same issue could pose a health risk and wondered if doctors had been able to find a solution for the reality star.

Marks insisted that the issue was likely just "hormonal," noting that her mother also faced similar challenges.

"My mom started growing in her 40s," she said.

A rep for Marks tells PEOPLE, "Meredith is absolutely thrilled with her results from Dr. Rosenberg in Los Angeles. She's crossing her fingers that the third time really is the charm and that her breast tissue — clearly on a mission — finally decides to take a break, at least for a few years!"

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returns to Bravo for season 5 on Sept. 18.
