Miami's 5 most important recruits who could commit this month

made a significant recruiting splash during June official visits by landing eight commits last month, but there are still plenty of uncommitted targets on the board who could pull the trigger before the start of August.

Here are the five most important Miami 2025 recruits who could commit this month. Note we are only listing Miami's remaining uncommitted recruits and not prospects the Hurricanes are actively working to flip from other programs (like five-star receiver Dallas Wilson or four-star wideout Joshua Moore ). Several prospects are yet to set commitment dates, although we believe there's a strong chance they announce decisions before the end of the month.

I did not include top-75 cornerback Ben Hanks Jr. , who may decide in August, or On300 running back Byron Louis , who has been vague about his commitment timeline and but is looking to announce a pledge before the end of the summer. It's also possible top-40 EDGE Iose Epenesa commits this month but not guaranteed.

+++ Brown is yet to announce a formal commitment date but will likely choose between Miami, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State at some point this month. The Hurricanes rolled out the red carpet for Brown on his midweek visit in mid-June and have been in his recruiting picture since the start of the year, although there's been plenty of buzz around the Gators lately. Florida appears to be in the best position, but Brown's relationship with Miami receivers coach Kevin Beard gives the Hurricanes a shot.

4-star S Hylton "Drake" Stubbs | No. 56 overall prospect+++ Miami made a move for Stubbs on his official visit and should have a tremendous chance to land his commitment today following his decommitment from USC. Seven different On3 staff members, including publisher Gary Ferman, have entered RPMs for Miami to land the four-star prospect since his decommitment from the Trojans last week. Stubbs could become the Hurricanes highest-rated commit yet this cycle if he chooses Miami.

+++ Alofaituli has been viewed as a Miami lean for some time, but after his official visits, we like where the Hurricanes sit even more. Alofaituli is set to announce his decision Friday, and we love where Miami sits. The No. 4 interior offensive lineman has long been one of Miami's top offensive line priorities in the 2025 cycle and could become the highest-rated offensive lineman the Canes have landed since 2023.

+++ Miami is continuing to battle Georgia for Smith, who will announce a decision July 20. Smith has visited Georgia more than twice as many times as any other school and is roughly a 90-minute drive from Athens, which he values, but the Hurricanes have remained in the picture since bringing him to campus in January. Miami landing Smith alongside Alofaituli could give the Hurricanes a dangerous interior in this class.
