Michael John Morton

Michael John Morton, 63, passed away peacefully after a short illness, with his family at his side. He was a native of San Jose and lived on the East Coast for 25 years, flying as an International Flight Attendant for American Airlines. Michael was very energetic and had a vast career which included Any Mountain and Bud Hoffman as a buyer and doing window displays. He was a National Aerobic champion and instructor back in the 80's, was a junior dog handler for all breeds, as well as a professional dog handler and showed at Westminster Dog Show. Michael's passion also included interior design. He had a keen eye for color and design and could take something ordinary and transform it to extraordinary. In recent years, he was the main caregiver for our beloved mother Judy Morton whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded by his father Gary F. Morton, and is now in Heaven, along with additional precious family members who welcomed him Home and who will continue to look over those of us still here. I'm sure Michael is enjoying a piece of our late Aunt Mary's Home Made Apple Pie, that we would all fight over at Christmas.

Michael is survived by his mother Judy Morton of Soquel CA. Brother Gary Morton and wife Caryn Morton of Campbell CA. Sister Jacqueline Morton of Soquel CA. Nephew, Chad Morton, wife Veronica Morton, and Great Nieces Hayden and Stevie Morton of San Jose CA. Uncle Robert Batten of San Jose CA and several cousins.

A very special thank you to our dearest childhood friend Sheila Brunner Miller who was a constant and amazing help throughout Michael's final journey.

A celebration of life will be held later in the new year. At this time we wish to let our hearts heal.

Remembrance may be made in Michael's honor to the Mission Hospice Woodside House, the SPCA, or plant a tree.
