Michael Strahan makes brutal assessment of team's defence who have 'lost their mystique' live on Fox NFL Sunday

MICHAEL STRAHAN has given a brutal assessment of the Baltimore Ravens defence live on Fox NFL Sunday.

The New York Giants legend was a superstar on that side of the ball during his playing days, and knows the position well.

And he has broken down the issues surrounding the AFC North side, who started the season by losing their opening two games.

Strahan pointed out the players they have lost on that side of the ball during coverage on the Fox NFL Kickoff show.

The 52-year-old also claimed the Ravens defence has lost its "mystique" and "intimidation" factor so far this season.

"(Patrick) Queen, second in the league in tackles on the team, gone", said Strahan .

"(Jadeveon) Clowney, nine and a half sacks, gone.

"(Geno) Stone, second in the league in interceptions, gone.

"So they lost players on every level of their defence.

He added: "Any time you do that, it is just so hard to make up for it.

"I don't think they come in and have that intimidating factor they usually have.

"When you walk in, Baltimore used to be 'oh boy, they're going to punch us in the face'.

"You know the defence is going to win.

"I don't think they have that mystique any more."

Strahan also opened up on the issues with the once-feared Dallas Cowboys defence.

He, again, pointed out the injuries and players lost so far early on in the 2024-25 NFL season.

"They still have great players, obviously", he commented .

"I think Mike Zimmer needs to figure out how to use Micah Parsons and some of the other players on that team.

"Parsons still top four in quarterback pressures.

"We saw the impact he can have in Week 1, not so much last week.

"Darron Bland being out, they really miss him as well.

"I think when Mike Zimmer figures out the pieces of his puzzle, the Cowboys defence could be pretty good."
