Former Michigan football linebackers coach Chris Partridge released a statement regarding his dismissal from the program.

Earlier this season, Michigan football dismissed linebackers coach Chris Partridge, and he came out with a statement on Monday denying that he had any involvement or knowledge in the alleged sign-stealing scheme run by Connor Stalions that has Jim Harbaugh's program in hot water currently. There has been much speculation regarding Partridge's potential involvement, but he vehemently denies any .

“Unfortunately, the manner in which the termination of my employment and my role as a Coach at Michigan has been reported is inaccurate and has resulted in people speculating and making assumptions about my knowledge of, and connection to, the sign-stealing allegations within the football program. I want to be clear: I had no knowledge whatsoever of any in-person or illegal scouting, or illegal sign stealing. Additionally, at no point did I destroy any evidence related to an ongoing investigation,” Chris Partridge's statement reads.

Patridge started his statement by noting that he waited until after the Michigan vs Ohio State football game this weekend to avoid any distraction from what the team accomplished by winning.

He went on to list the wording from Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel in the termination letter.

“I was terminated because of a failure ‘to abide by the University directive not to discuss an ongoing NCAA investigation with anyone associated with the Michigan Football Program,” Partridge's statement reads.

To end the statement, Partridge went on to say that he is still supporting Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football team in their quest for a national championship this season.
