Milford Trader Joe's Will Open This Week The long-anticipated 23rd location in the state of the grocer with a loyal following now has an opening date.

MILFORD, MA — Trader Joe's will open its Milford store this week. The store at 230 Fortune Blvd. is scheduled to open Wednesday, according to the Trader Joe's website .

In September, the national chain confirmed it would open a Milford location this year.

Trader Joe's posted the following on its website at the time:

"We've consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Milford, MA. We are proud to be joining the neighborhood, and to continue our commitment to providing nourishment to the surrounding communities through our Neighborhood Shares program."

Earlier this year, a construction firm pulled permits to renovate and "pour a new slab for a Trader Joe's fit-out" in a former Staples.

However, in June, a spokesperson for Trader Joe's declined to say whether the grocer would be opening in Milford before confirming it would in September.

Trader Joe's Milford location will be the chain's 23rd store in Massachusetts and the first in the area. Milford sits in a Trader Joe's dead zone between the stores in Foxborough, Framingham, and Shrewsbury.

Trader Joe's, known for its natural offerings at discount prices, has 593 stores in 43 states.
