Minnesota linemen working overtime to turn the power back on in Florida

TAMPA, Fla. — About 200,000 Florida residents remain without power Tuesday morning in the aftermath of hurricanes Milton and Helene.

Power crews from across the U.S., including Minnesota, are in the Tampa area working overtime to get the lights back on. A crew from Dakota County arrived Thursday morning just after the hurricane made landfall.

Kyle Ryman, a Minnesota lineman member, told KARE 11 the team has been working 16-hour days but love he's getting from the community makes it worthwhile.

"You don't even feel like you're working that hard and everybody's so grateful and they're bringing you hot meals left and right," Ryman shared. "I mean, they're buying the food at dinner."
