Monaco and Crvena Zvezda have met twice previously, facing each other in the 2022-23 UEFA Europa League group stages â€" the French side won both at home (4-1) and away (1-0).

Including qualifying matches, Crvena Zvezda have played eight away matches in France and failed to win any visit (D2 L6), conceding at least twice in every game there (26 in total).

Crvena Zvezda are looking for their first UEFA Champions League victory since October 2019 (3-1 v Olympiakos), having failed to win any of their last 12 games in the competition; 11 of which have been defeats (D1).

Monaco are unbeaten in their two games in the UEFA Champions League this season, beating Barcelona 2-1 on MD1 and drawing 2-2 with Dinamo Zagreb last time out. They last went unbeaten through their first three games of a single edition in 2016-17 (W1 D2), a season in which they went on to reach the semi-final.

Crvena Zvezda have lost each of their last 11 away games in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, conceding 37 goals and only scoring six times in this run. The last team to suffer a longer losing run in the competition was Dinamo Zagreb, who lost 13 in a row between 2011 and 2019.

Monaco havenâ€TMt kept a clean sheet in any of their last 22 UEFA Champions League games; the longest current run of any side. The last team to have a longer run of conceding in the competition was Shakhtar Donetsk, who went 23 games without a clean sheet between November 2015 and October 2020.

Crvena Zvezdaâ€TMs last clean sheet in the UEFA Champions League came back in November 2018, in a 2-0 home victory over Liverpool. Since then, theyâ€TMve conceded in all 16 of their matches in the competition, at an average of three goals per match (48 conceded in total).

Maghnes Akliouche has been directly involved in two of Monacoâ€TMs four goals in the UEFA Champions League this season (2/4), scoring against Barcelona and assisting against Dinamo Zagreb. The 22-year-old is the third-youngest player to have been directly involved in a goal on both MD1 and MD2 this season, after Arne Engels (21) and Benjamin Sesko (21).

Nasser Djiga completed 70 of his 72 pass attempts against Internazionale last time out; the second-most on record (since 2003-04) by a Crvena Zvezda player in a UEFA Champions League match. Indeed, he also made the most line-breaking passes of any player in the game at the Giuseppe Meazza (14).

Denis Zakaria scored a 90th-mintue equaliser in Monacoâ€TMs 2-2 draw against Dinamo Zagreb last time out, while he also led all players for the French side for completed passes (64), pass completion rate (94%), successful dribbles (2) and interceptions (5).
