Mongolian restaurant opens second Minnesota location in St. Cloud

Minnesota just got its second HuHot Mongolian Grill, a chain with outposts in 18 states.

The new St. Cloud location at 3701 W Division St. opened on Wednesday in the former home of Mongo's Grill. The restaurant was acquired by Franchise Restaurant Concepts Group in February, representatives tell Bring Me the News.

At the time of the acquisition, the company operated 23 HuHot locations. Due to an already existing franchise agreement, it couldn't operate a similar concept. So, the company converted Mongo's into the state's second HuHot.

Nonetheless, the company has kept much of what was working at Mongo's, including a build-your-own stir fry menu. The layout largely remains the same with cosmetic changes implemented to match the HuHot format aesthetics, St. Cloud's KNSI reports .
