Monroe County man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Monroe County man was arrested on Tuesday after an undercover investigation.

Kentucky State Police said its Electronic Crime Branch arrested 37-year-old Robert Allen Tabor around 1:01 p.m. on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Police said the undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation began after police discovered Tabor allegedly shared images of child sexual exploitation online.

As a result, a search warrant was executed in Tompkinsville, in which police seized the equipment used to allegedly facilitate the crime. According to the police, it was taken to the KSP's lab for examination.

Tabor was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

It's shocking video of an elderly man being throw to the ground and handcuffed during a traffic stop. Video of the exchange between the officer and driver involved in the traffic sop was released by police. The Oklahoma City Police Department has since put the officer on administrative leave pending an internal investigation into what happened saying in a statement "there was a use of force." An arrest report gives more details about what occurred before a man was shot to death Wednesday in the 3200 block of West Edgewood Avenue. Investigators observed surveillance video that showed the victim driving an orange Chevrolet Camaro with orange rims at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and New Kings Road, according to the JSO arrest report for Lavertis Reed, 20, who was charged with murder in the shooting. As the victim's vehicle crossed the intersection, a white vehicle with dark rims was observed on the surveillance video driving south at a high rate of speed on New Kings Road, the arrest report states.

A Russian court sentenced a Moscow paediatrician to 5-1/2 years in a penal colony on Tuesday, Russian media said, after the mother of one of her patients publicly denounced her over comments about Russian soldiers in Ukraine. Prosecutors had last week asked for a six-year sentence for Nadezhda Buyanova for spreading "fakes" about the Russian army after the mother recorded a video in which she denounced the 68-year-old doctor over remarks that Buyanova has denied making. An Iranian man convicted of raping dozens of women over the past two decades has been executed in public, the country's state media reported on Wednesday. The state-owned IRAN newspaper said Mohammad Ali Salamat was hanged after Iran's Supreme Court confirmed his death sentence earlier in October. Reports by Iranian media said that in many of the cases, Salamat raped his victims after proposing marriage or dating them.
