More than a decade in federal prison after selling an undercover cop methamphetamine, fentanyl

A 23-year-old in Florida is going to spend the next decade behind bars after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in November 2022, Ja’Vion RaShard Jackson
“sold an undercover officer more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 52 grams of fentanyl, and bottles of promethazine with codeine in addition to cocaine and methorphan.” Then, in January, “agents executed search warrants at two locations associated with Jackson.” They reported finding “marijuana, MDMA, and prescription pills” at one, and “methamphetamine, fentanyl, promethazine with codeine, and firearms” at the other.Jackson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, 40 grams or more of fentanyl, cocaine, and promethazine with codeine, as well as three counts of distribution of controlled substances in August.
He was sentenced to 10 years and 5 months in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release.
