The Grant County Coyotes won their second consecutive Distract 9 volleyball title and advanced to the regional. The Coyotes finished off Shiloh Christian in three sets to claim their championship. The Coyotes won their three sets 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.
The Grand Forks Central football team defeated Bismarck by a razor-thin margin. The Demons fell 49-48 in overtime, snapping their undefeated streak. Central's Jake Landry was a key factor in the victory playing an instrumental role in the game winning drive in overtime.
Fort Yates upset Bismarck St. Mary's in the Class A Southwest Region basketball tournament 32-27. Fort Yates would go on to face off against first seed Dickinson Trinity which received a bye into the next round. Mandan and Bismarck High also lost their first-round games.
