The Minot football team upset No. 1-ranked Bismarck in the playoffs. The Demons fell 22-7 at the Community Bowl, ending the Demons' undefeated season. Minot's defense was a key factor in winning a game that was tied 7-7 at the half.
The University of Mary's men's basketball team defeated Great Falls 80-69. The teams were knotted at 33-33 after the first half, but the Marauders were able to break out in the second half, scoring 47 points to Great Falls' 36. Kevin Tendall had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Marauders and Anish Sharda led the team with 22 points.
The unbeaten Golden Valley basketball team got their 16th victory of the season in the Class B regional tournament. Golden Valley defeated Raleigh-St. Gertrude's 31-19 after taking 10-3 lead in the first quarter. Sharon Wolff led Golden Valley potting 18 points.
