Local high school girls swimming teams prepared to compete at the state championships at the BSC Aquatics Center. One swimmer looking forward to her final state meet was Century senior Dani Bergeson. Bergeson was a six-time State qualifier and a five-time state individual champion heading into her final state meet.
Bismarck State's women's basketball team claimed the Mon-Dak conference title. The Mystics went 3-0 in tournament play winning by an average margin of 23 points. BSC defeated NDSCS 76-58 to win the Mon-Dak Championship.
Carson's football team placed second in the Cannonball Conference. They were 4-1 on the season and were the same the season before, placing second behind Elgin's 5-0 record. This season the 5-3 overall Chieftains ranked second behind New England, with a perfect 8-0 overall record.
