Most post offices reopen in Northeast Tennessee, 2 remain closed
AFTON, Tenn. (WJHL) — Operations have resumed at nearly all of the previously closed post offices in Northeast Tennessee after region-wide flooding.
The United States Post Office (USPS) announced on Sunday that almost all of the 19 post offices that had suspended operations due to flooding were open again.
Five counties close schools for at least a week
The following post offices will resume their operations immediately:

Bybee – 1580 Highway 160, 37713
Chuckey – 8140 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, 37641
Cosby – 4402 Hooper Hwy, 37222
Del Rio – 3105 Highway 25 70 E, 37727
Greeneville – 220 W Summer Street, 37743
Limestone – 359 Opie Arnold Rd, 37681
Mohawk – 2250 Phillipi Road, 37810
Mooresburg – 110 Loretta Lane, 37811
Mosheim – 9280 W Andres Johnson Hwy, 37818
Newport – 265 Cosby Hwy, 37821
Parrottsville – 2053 Old Parrottsville Hwy, 37843
Roan Mountain – 8060 Highway 19E, 37687
Rogersville – 203 W Main Street, 37857

As of Sunday, operations are still temporarily suspended at the Flag Pond and Trade post offices, located at 1305 Rice Creek Road, 37657, and 164 Hwy 64N, 37691, respectively.
Operations are also temporarily suspended at the Hartford location at 3603 Harford Rd, 37353. The USPS instructs anyone who uses that facility to use the Cosby post office as an alternate location and bring proper photo identification for mail and package pick-ups.
