Motorcyclist dies near Nellis Air Force Base after colliding with vehicle

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle.

According to police, a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Nellis when the rider collided with a Ford Flex.

The driver of the Flex was traveling north.

LVMPD said the vehicle made a u-turn in front of the motorcycle, which led to the crash.

The rider of the motorcycle died on the scene.

At this time, officers have reported impairment is not suspected by either individual.

Officials confirmed that Nellis Boulevard Southbound near Las Vegas Boulevard lanes will be closed for several hours.
