Motorcyclist killed in Lehigh County crash, authorities say

A motorcyclist died Friday night after hitting another vehicle in an intersection in Lehigh County, authorities said Saturday.

Jorge Pickett, 34, of Bethlehem was pronounced dead at St. Luke's University Hospital after his motorcycle hit a car in the intersection of West Saucon Valley Circle and Center Valley Parkway, officials said.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Friday and Pickett was pronounced dead at the hospital about 45 minutes later, according to authorities.

Authorities did not release any additional details on the crash or the investigation Saturday morning.

The Upper Saucon Township Police Department and Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are investigating the crash.
