MSP forensics unit investigates East Lansing home

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The East Lansing Police Department and the Michigan State Police are currently investigating what they call a "suspicious situation" at a home near Henry Fine Park.

East Lansing police tell 6 News they were called out to a home on the 1500 block of Wintercrest Street at around 12:08 p.m. but did not disclose why when asked.

Police did not confirm loss of life or injury, but 6 News on the scene witnessed what appeared to be two bodies being moved into a hearse and transported away from the scene.

Police also confirm that the building was occupied at the time of the call, but they also say there is no threat to the public at all.

Police are not releasing further information at this time.
