MSU womens soccer into Valley title match

SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State soccer Bears, both the men and women are Valley conference champions.

The men beat Drake Wednesday night for their 12th regular season league title.

Mo State will play in the Valley tournament next week in Springfield.

In our Bear Nation report, the womens soccer team opened Valley conference play in the semifinals against Belmont.

And Mo State scores midway through the first half, Julia Kristensen on a run, a shot from just inside the penalty box, it finds the back of the net, 1-0 Bears.

Then 15 minutes later, Missouri State with the corner kick, drops in the box, and Maggie O'Keefe fires it home, 2-0.

And Missouri State wins 2-nil and advances to the Valley championship game against Drake Sunday.
