Mt. Juliet police recover gun stolen out of Smyrna

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Mt. Juliet Police Department announced Thursday that they recovered a gun stolen during a Smyrna gun store burglary in May.
In a post to X, the department said that they recovered the stolen firearm after stopping a Chrysler 300 for illegally parking in a handicapped parking spot. After discovering that the weapon was stolen from a Smyrna gun store in May, the 26-year-old Nashville man was arrested and booked into the Wilson County jail.
"All of our officers' proactive efforts ensure MJ remains safe, and we are continually grateful for their strong commitment to protect our community," the post added.
