Multiple juveniles arrested for fighting at Waterbury football game

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Five juveniles and one adult were arrested last night after engaging in and instigating a fight at a high school football game in Waterbury.

Friday night at 8:22, officers with the Waterbury Police Department were assigned to security detail for a high school football game when they witnessed a group of teenagers engaging in a physical altercation.

Officers quickly intervened and managed to separate all parties involved. Moments later, additional teenagers began instigating more fights and ignoring police commands to separate.

Those arrested include:

  • A 17-year-old male was charged with assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, interfering with police, and inciting a riot.

  • A 15-year-old male was charged with assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, interfering with police, and inciting a riot.

  • A 15-year-old male was charged with assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and interfering with police.

  • A 16-year-old female was charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with police.

  • A 15-year-old female was charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with police.

  • Ginnellys Vazquez, 18, was charged with breach of peace second degree and interfering with police.

  • All arrested are Waterbury residents. Waterbury police are continuing to investigate this incident.
