The New York Jets picked up their second-straight win in dominant fashion against the New England Patriots on Thursday night.

So far, one of the biggest bright spots for New York has been their rookie running back Braelon Allen. On Thursday, Allen finished with 55 rushing yards on 11 carries along with 13 receiving yards.

In Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, Allen finished with 56 total yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Jets to their first win of the season.

The Jets selected Allen in the fourth round of the 2024 draft. After his recent performances, one fan took to the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to question why Allen fell so far in the draft. Allen had a simple response to the fan.

"Everyone wanted to see me run in my underwear to decide if I was a good football player," said Allen on X.

Allen is referring to the NFL Draft Combine, which occurred in March prior to the draft. In the combine, Allen refused to run the 40-yard dash, which, according to him in this post, is a big reason why he fell so far in the draft.

He also refused to run at Wisonsin's Pro Day, as he was recovering from an ankle injury. In three years at Wisconsin, Allen finished with 3,494 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns.

Regardless of whether or not Allen deserved to be selected higher in the draft, the Jets and their fans are certainly glad that they have him now
