National Apprenticeship Week kicks off with expo
This week marks the beginning of National Apprenticeship week, and many are celebrating the week in Bethlehem at the Apprenticeship Pennsylvania Collaborative and Expo hosted by the PA Workforce Development Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Administrators.
"Apprenticeship is really important to Pennsylvania. It really is a great model to recruit new workers, to fill job vacancies, for employers to have skilled talent and also for workers to access good family paying jobs," said Carrie Amann, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association.
Stakeholders at the expo will be discussing the Shapiro Administration's commitment to apprenticeships and their expansion across the Commonwealth.
