What is a Red Flag warning?

According to the NWS, a Red Flag Warning is when critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will begin. The warming is issued when a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can increase the risk of a fire.

Officials said if you are allowed to burn in your area, all burn barrels must be covered with a weighted metal cover with no holes no larger than 3/4 of an inch.
