New Emergency Debris Drop-Off Site Opens In St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – To assist residents with storm debris cleanup ahead of Hurricane Milton, the City of St. Petersburg has opened a new debris management site at 1953 72nd St. N (across from Azalea Park). The site is open to both residents and private haulers.

Accepted Materials:

  • Construction and demolition debris from the storm
  • Vegetative debris (brush) – Residents are encouraged to utilize the dedicated brush sites if possible. Brush site locations and hours can be found on the city website.
  • Important Notes:

  • Residents must provide proof of residency (driver's license or water bill).
  • Private haulers must have a consent form signed by the resident. The form is available on the city website.
  • Separate debris types for efficient disposal.
  • Be prepared to unload debris yourself, as staff cannot assist.
  • Hazardous materials are not accepted.
  • Community Help:

    Residents with trucks are encouraged to assist their neighbors with transporting debris to the drop-off site.
