New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell attends conference in Barcelona
NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell traveled to Barcelona, Spain to participate in the 2024 Smart City Expo World Congress.
New NOLA Walk of Fame project aims to highlight influential local figures
Officials with the City of New Orleans said Cantrell will join leaders from across the country and the world to discuss urban planning and green projects.
Cantrell is expected to participate in panels and "conference consultants say information about managing New Orleans active weather climate will serve as a model to benefit other cities."
City of New Orleans to activate four more school zone flashers
City officials said the conference will cover topics including connectivity and data, governance and citizen, energy and environment, mobility and urban space.
The mayor will return to New Orleans once the conference has ended.
