MUSKEGON, MI – Lexi Fogle Photography is the latest tenant to set up shop in Core Plaza at 221 W. Webster Ave. in downtown Muskegon.

Fogle, who previously worked out of My Space Office and Storage at 1657 S. Getty St. in Muskegon, told MLive the move to Core Plaza gives her business more exposure.

"It's a new building. It's a lot of networking, so it's just a lot bigger for me," she said.

Fogle's studio is located on the second floor of Core Plaza overlooking the soon-to-open Lumberman's Vault food hall, which will feature Mexican, Thai and soul food vendors, as well as the Liquid Assets Cocktail & Wine Bar.

The space is expected to open early to mid-November.

"The fact that the public can eat and drink right outside of my studio as well is great for advertising myself," she said. "I can go down and speak with the public in the same building, which is very convenient."

Fogle neighbors other boutique businesses such as Alchemy Salon by the Barber's Daughter and the Gathering Room, a rentable event space by Montague-based retailer Home and Gather, and both these businesses have contacted her for photography services, she said.

A photographer of nearly 10 years, Fogle offers packages for weddings, marketing, events, maternity, boudoir, portraits, families and couples.

The studio is open by appointment only. People can book a session with Fogle online or by calling (231) 329-9588.

The Lumberman's Vault food hall pays homage to Core Plaza's history going back to 1962 when it was known as National Lumberman's Bank of Muskegon.

The building was once regarded as the city's premier bank and even housed the state's first rooftop heliport in 1965.

The building had sat vacant for a decade prior to the Core Plaza redevelopment. The building's third through sixth floors now are occupied by office tenants, including Core Realty Partners.
