CANTON, Ohio – The Hall of Fame Village is trading in one football-themed restaurant for another.

Gridiron Gastropub is going into the former Don Shula's American Kitchen on Thursday, Oct. 24.

A grand opening is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8, and will include giveaways and prizes.

The restaurant is located within the village's Fan Engagement Zone and close to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium and definitely will have a football vibe.

Gridiron Gastropub is billed as an upscale, casual dining spot that combines locally sourced cuisine in a sports-inspired atmosphere. The menu will feature made-from-scratch seasonal items.

Chalkboard walls will showcase featured food and beverage options, and vintage football murals highlight the spirit of the game. The space also will include a player collage. Turfed frames will hold inspirational quotes from players, and vintage trophies will be displayed.

Dinner menu options will run the gamut, with a variety of pork, chicken, seafood and beef entrees.

Lunch will include an array of dishes including handheld options. And brunch will feature a bottomless mimosa cart that makes its way from table to table.

The two-story Don Shula's opened in March 2023 , an upscale sports-themed restaurant that serves as an homage to its namesake coach. Shula was a Northeast Ohio native who attended John Carroll University and coached the Baltimore Colts against the Cleveland Browns in the 1964 championship. He went on to coach the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl titles. His 1972 team went undefeated at 17-0.

Beginning Oct. 24, Gridiron Gastropub will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Monday and Wednesday to Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

On Sunday, brunch will be served 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner will be open from 2 to 10 p.m.

Weekday lunch will begin Nov. 7.

The restaurant is at 2101 Hall of Fame Way NW, Suite 1, Canton.
