New York Jets: Garrett Wilson wins AFC offensive player of the week

Sometimes a day is just your day. Last Thursday was one of those days for New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who put together a final stat line of 9 catches on 10 targets for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Houston Texans in a prime-time game. Oh, and did I mention that one of his catches went viral and is a frontrunner for catch of the year?
Like I said, sometimes it's just a guy's day. Or, actually, in the case of Garrett Wilson it may be more apt to say that it was his "week" as he was recently bestowed with AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Considering the Jets season to date, this can be considered a ray of sunshine. Hopefully, this performance will also serve as a sign of what's to come both for Garrett Wilson and the New York Jets.
