New York Jets News: Joe Douglas deserves to be on hot seat

Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets aren’t playing this Sunday. They already played, and failed in spectacular fashion, on Friday. Without a Jets game to cover today, the media went in some other directions. One direction was a story about Aaron Rodgers getting a chance to play the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in 2024. And just like that, the story has already shifted to next year. Gone are the pretenses that the remaining games in the 2023 schedule matter. Gone are the pretenses this season isn’t lost and the playoffs are still a possibility. Like every year in the current regime’s time with the Jets, the season is hopelessly lost well before its expiration date. Now it’s time to talk about firing people and draft position and 2024 schedules and other topics that are best saved for after the season, but the Jets are cursed to enjoy midseason every dang year. I long for relevancy in late December.
