Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live after scoring his first senior international goal for England on Sunday against the Republic of Ireland. "It is better late than never, but it is about time!" joked the 23-year-old. "Iâ€TMve had some great chances but not been able to put them away. "It was a good feeling to see it hit the net. I got to celebrate it with some of the lads I have come through the England set-up with. That made it a bit more special. "I think Lee Carsley deserves a lot of credit. He fills us with so much confidence. "I finally have a goal now, so hopefully there will be plenty to come."
