PUC launches website

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission recently launched its new, more customer friendly website, www.puc.pa.gov , featuring new tools, including video for consumers and PAGasSwitch.com.

It’s geared for the PUC’s target audiences and divided into two sections, “Consumer Info” and “Utility & Industry.”

The video playing function allows visitors to watch public meetings posted approximately on hour after the conclusion of each meeting.

In addition there are education videos and video news releases on timely PUC issues.

The Forms and Filings section contains PUC forms and applications, eFile documents and a search function for retrieving documents.

PAGasSwitch is a natural gas shopping comparison tool for consumers. It allows for the search of natural gas suppliers by zip code.

It is a companion tool for the PAPowerSwitch.com website created by the PUC for electricity shopping.

The new site aims to provide transparency to pipeline safety matters and Act 13 Marcellus Shale impact fee records and other data.
