NFL Week 12: Games of the week, game picks from Behind The Steel Curtain

There’s plenty of pressure on me this week to deliver some winning picks to your dinner table just in case you didn’t get your fill at Thanksgiving. While you’re making your leftover Turkey sandwiches, I’m going to be stuffing your face with greens - just this time in the form of cash instead of beans. Two divisional clashes for first place highlight the slate this week. Thanks for putting up with my terrible Thanksgiving puns. I can’t promise they will be the last. Allow me to help you try and win some cold hard cash courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook . Here’s a look at our games of the week. Who would have thought this would be a matchup for AFC South supremacy in late November? Not me. This game will come down to the Jaguars (7-3) pass defense, which ranks in the bottom of the league in passing yards allowed, limiting Texans (6-4) rookie QB CJ Stroud, who ranks second in the NFL in passing yards with 2,962. The good news for Jacksonville is that their top CB Tyson Campbell is expected to return to action after missing three of the last four games with a hamstring injury. Currently, 52% of bettors are backing the Texans - but I disagree with the majority. I’m anticipating that Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, and the rest of his cats remind the Texans that they are still the team to beat in the division. The pick: Jaguars -1.5 How does Chargers head coach Brandon Staley still have a job? Los Angeles (4-6) continues to waste the phenomenal play of QB Justin Herbert. Herbert has 19 touchdowns to just five interceptions and a 99.5 NFL passer rating — yet they continue to find a way to lose games on the defensive side of the ball. To date this season, the Chargers are ranked 32nd in the league against the pass; you know who loves hearing that? Ravens (8-3) QB Lamar Jackson — who leads an offense that has scored 31 points or more in five straight games. Unfortunately, however, the Ravens will be missing star TE Mark Andrews who will likely miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Currently, 78% of bettors are backing the Ravens — an eye-popping number, but buyers beware. The Chargers are playing for their season. Even if they don’t win, I am taking them to cover, in what will be a shootout. The pick: Chargers +3.5What are your thoughts on the team’s picks for Week 12?
