Ingrid Breitenstein, 93, of Muhlenberg, formerly of Reading, passed away Thursday, November 14th, at Emcompass Health.

Ingrid was born in Nuremberg, Germany on September 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Elise (Hemm) and Hans Reif.

She was the widow of Leroy A. Breitenstein. Leroy died March 12, 1995.

Ingrid was a member and a greeter of Nativity Lutheran Church, Reading. She worked in sales at Boscov's East and then the Boscov's Fairgrounds Farmers Market. She was a member of and loved Evergreen Country Club and the Reading Liederkranz; she was a Boomadeer Reading Chapter, for 25 years.

Ingrid is survived by

a daughter, Beverly A., wife of Nicholas Amicone; and a son,Rodney, husband of Karen Breitenstein.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Alicia, Jason, Christian, Jodi and Jeni; 2 great grandchildren: Bella and Jax. Forever daughter in law Lynn, wife of Scott.

Ingrid was predeceased by sons; James A. and Robert J.; her brother Carl and sister Hannah.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15th at the Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 North 11th Street, Reading. Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.sandersfuneral.com.

Interment will be private at St. Peter's Cemetery, Amityville.
