Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers are proud to be parents again.

The Younger actor, 36 and his wife, 38 — who announced they were expecting back in late April — opened up to People about being in 'denial' during the birth of their newborn son, Pesce Pearl.

The polyamorous couple also revealed Meyers went into labor while at a hotel they had fled to amid category three storm, Hurricane Milton , in Florida .

'I was lying in the bed of the hotel room we had evacuated to for the night,' Meyers explained. 'My first reaction was denial, then dread, quickly followed by surrender.

'The home birth I had imagined had taken a different turn, but just like pregnancy, parenthood and babies, nothing is predictable, and we are never in control the way we think we are.'

Luckily, they rushed back to their home to follow through with their planned at-home birth, calling her labor 'long and peaceful.'

The fitness coach went on to share she had always felt 'humbled and honored by birth' because it gave her the 'chance to usher life into this world, a vessel molded by something much greater than me.'

And with the help of her husband and birth-team, she welcomed a baby boy, Pesce Pearl.

The pair wrote in an essay to the outlet: 'However, just as divine timing tends to know better than us, labor stalled, storms cleared and we made it back home to welcome our 10/10 hurricane baby: Pesce Pearl Meyers Tortorella!'

Nico shared that they conceived their son the day they moved to the Sunshine State earlier this year, calling it one of the 'best decisions we've ever made' despite facing infertility issues.

'Our little dude showed up almost effortlessly. Everything felt exactly as it should be,' the doting father said.

The City on Firer star opened up about their son's name, explaining it means 'fish' in Italian.

'How fitting,' he said. 'We moved to Florida, weathered the storm and our little fish was born. Like fish thriving in turbulent waters, we found strength and clarity amidst the chaos.'

Nico and Bethany initially began dating in 2007 after meeting in college at the University of Chicago .

They said 'I do' back in March of 2018 in New York City at a City Clerk's Office in lower Manhattan. Their reception was held at the infamous St. Paul's Chapel.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Kilmer Dove in an at-home birth on March 5, 2023.
